History in Our Hands
Local Connections to the Colonial Era

Wednesday, Dec. 2 | Liars Bench Beer Co., Portsmouth

HoweyWagonHill.jpg

The Seacoast is an area rich in historical ties to the colonial era and our country’s founding, but at this event we’ll explore lesser-known aspects of that history, from textiles to the Treaty of 1783 to settler colonialism before the Revolutionary Era. Learn how ordinary citizens (like you!) can participate in agricultural and archaeological projects uncovering our local history, and how those projects are helping tell a fuller, richer story of our region – a story that will shape not only how we see the past, but how we act in the future.
